Differences between Star Galaxy and granite

Even though Star Galaxy Granite is usually traded as granite, its similarities with this rock indeed quite convincing, it yet differs from this robust rock in a number of aspects. Star Galaxy Granite is a gabbro, a magmatic stone with a very robust and hard surface structure. It mainly consists of dark minerals such as pyroxene and olivine. Real granite, however, contains quartz, making it particularly abrasion-resistant. Although Star Galaxy Granite contains no quartz, it can still be used almost like granite. Just keep in mind that the bronzite mineral, causing the wonderful and classy glitter effects, is sensitive to citric acid. However, if you handle this in your kitchen only rarely, you can use this star among the granite stones for your countertop without hesitation.
