Shimmering inclusions define the Black Star Galaxy Granite

The natural stone was formed millennia ago deep in the Earth’s interior. From there, in thousands of years, it was slowly pushed towards the surface. Today, Black Star Galaxy Granite is predominantly mined in India, and from there it is shipped to locations all around the world. Technically, this rock is a so-called gabbro and differs in its fine to medium-grained structure only slightly from granite, and thus is often traded as such. The delightfully shimmering inclusions of bronzite dominating the surface structure of the Black Star Galaxy Granite, make it for many even more interesting than the equally extraordinary granite stone.

Differences between gabbro and granite

In contrast to granite, a gabbro is less resistant to abrasion because it contains no quartz, the hardest and most durable natural stone material in the world. However, the Black Star Galaxy Granite makes up for it with its exceptionally deep black colour, which can set special accent in every home. Granite does not exist in this colour intensity.

Usually, Black Star Galaxy Granite is polished to give it its smooth and shiny surface structure, characteristic for this stone.
