Mining in India

With Imperial White you purchase a basalt rock that, similar to the well-known Black Star Galaxy, is a hard rock and one of the so-called gabbros. Imperial White is predominantly mined in the Indian provinces Salem, Edapadi, Western und Eastern Ghats, Tippu, Tamil Nadu und Madras. The fine to medium-grained stone has a whitish to grey surface that is either polished or satined. Depending on the application, personal taste and furnishing style both processing variants can look elegant and fashionable.

The Imperial White stone is rather used in interior finishing and has its place as a window sill, flooring, wash stand or stairs. It is particularly striking if used as an accent in the kitchen or bathroom. It combines very well with other basalt stones such as Nero Assoluto or Viscont White.
