Nero Assoluto Granite has a fine-grained and deep black appearance. Because of its smooth structure, it is very popular with builders and suitable for both a modern or classic look, depending on the individual requirements.

Nero Assoluto Granite is a basalt, or so-called volcanic rock. Just like Black Star Galaxy, it belongs to the gabbros and is a hard rock, predominantly mined in Indian quarries. In addition, Nero Assoluto Granite is also common in parts of Africa, e.g. Zimbabwe. The different subcategories of the stone are due to the different types of origin of the basalt. Stone mined in Belfast is named „Nero Assoluto Granite B“, or if mined in Zimbabwe named „Nero Assoluto Granite Z“. In this way, even a layperson can easily identify the origin of the basalt without expert advice.
 

Satined or polished?

In India, Nero Assoluto Granite is mined in several provinces; including the province Andrah Pradesh, known for the outstanding quality of its Black Star Galaxy. Nero Assoluto Granite is available with different types of surface processings. Because this natural stone is closely related to the group of granite stones, the stone is usually sold with a polished or satined surface. While the polished surface impresses with an intense gloss, it is the classy matt appearance of the satined Nero Assoluto Granite that determines the quality of this hard rock.

Nero Assoluto Granite is suitable for a variety of applications. The premium stone is especially popular in  interior finishing. It is often used for wall tiles, window sills, kitchen countertops or stairs. It also looks quite classy when used as a floor covering in wet rooms or in the kitchen. Furthermore, the combination possibilities of this basalt are huge. It matches perfectly with Imperial White Granite, Shiva Gold Granite or Viscount White Granite, and a material mix of this stone with wood, glass or metal looks great as well.
